Fifth Grade Mosaics
Fifth grade artists worked on color mixing and manipulating

shapes and spaces during their painting unit. They started by

identifying important aspects of mosaics. Then they created

painted paper strips in a variety of colors. Finally they used

the paper to create an image out of shapes.

Art Objectives:
·         I can manipulate the elements of art and the principles of design to create art.

·         I can create art through purposeful, reflective observation.

·         understand that culture and historical events influence art.
